THE PUFFY CHAIR

THE PUFFY CHAIR

I like this movie. For the most part, I like it cause it's somewhat people I know. I guess it's pretty much just true to life. At least, life that I have been privvy to. Just how it is all how it is and people are all how they are and you at times you know what a character will do (Josh's brother does exactly what I would have done in that situation, even in writing. Although, I would have filmed it in a slow shot with a great "remembrance" song to fit it nicely, but that's just me) but for the most part the best thing is the camera work in it. Course, the camera is shakey and all kinds of things but that's what I want from a film like this.
Throw out the fact that everybody at Sundance jizzed in their pants when they saw the film - I liked it. If you don't believe me that it is a good film that captures the spirit of a generation that we know because we are it pretty much, then whatevs. I wouldn't say it defines our generation because that is dumb. Media does not define a generation. If you want to read a book about the so called "beat" movement and take something out of it that you think was what the generation was, then I guess you should do it. I think that time is just moving so go ahead and do what you have to to realize what happened or whatever you need to to identify. I identified wit hthe characters in this film and thought it was a good undertaking for a burgeoning filmmaker.
Take your liberties with what you see from this film. Enjoy it for what it is. I guess I could say that about any film but what I mean this time is - this is good and you should watch it because these are people that you have met before. Whether you like it or not, you know these people. They are all walking past you everyday. Young, old, whatever.

I GIVE THIS FILM A NETLFIX RATING OF 4 STARS FOR BEING REAL IN THAT THE DIALOGUE AND CHARACTERS WERE FLESHED NICELY AND THE CAMERA WORK MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS WITNESSING IT HAPPEN

and the trailer ... (psst ... the trailer isn't as good as the movie)
